Uh, motion poster? Yeah, apparently those big poster-like ads you see down in the Underground actually have a name, and that’s it.
Sony have just revealed a new one for Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg’s action comedy The Other Guys, which gets released Stateside in August, and over here on 3 September.
It offers brief, cheeky insight into the nature of the film (if Ferrell's involvement and the trailer hadn't already let you know what to expect), and is a funny, odd curio that was apparently on display at ShoWest in Las Vegas. And sorry about the repeat thing, there’s no controlling it.
The official plot goes something like this:
Set in New York City, The Other Guys follows Detective Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell), a forensic accountant who’s more interested in paperwork than hitting the streets, and Detective Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg ), a tough guy who has been stuck with Allen as his partner ever since an unfortunate run-in with Derek Jeter.
Allen and Terry idolize the city’s top cops, Danson and Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson), but when an opportunity arises for the Other Guys to step up, things don’t quite go as planned.
Like what you see?
