New pics of Sam Rockwell in Moon

Life’s rough when you’re a stranded astronaut

Fresh new images have arrived of Sam Rockwell in space drama Moon.

The film finds Rockwell as an American space explorer slowly going astro-nuts (sorry) as he’s trapped for years on an isolated lunar outpost.

His only real companion is a robot, voiced by Kevin Spacey.

You can see some of the images – which make the movie look haunting and cool -  in our gallery to the right, and more are at Bloody Disgusting.

The film has been directed by Duncan Jones, also known as David Bowie’s son and should hit our screens next year.

It somehow seems appropriate that the spawn of Major Tom should know something about space isolation, doesn’t it?

      Sam Rockwell is great! Hopefully this will project him to bonafide A-List! He should have been there years ago anyway.
