New Sherlock Holmes character posters

Downey Jr and Law go all Holmes and Watson.

Some new character posters for Sherlock Holmes have appeared online, featuring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as detective duo Sherlock Holmes and John Watson.

The latest trailer for Guy Ritchie’s take on the Victorian detective had more than a touch of set-piece, style and humour from the Pirates movies. It seems the poster campaign is following suit.

Both Law and Downey Jr are decked out in Victorian chic attire, whilst Watson looks like the pensive straight man playing against the half smirking roguish Holmes. Take a look below:

      Oh dear lord... Thank heavens for the Big Steely writing, else, based on the traditional Holmes, you'd definitely pick Jude as the famous detective. Hold The Phone! Is Watson carrying some kind of steely weaponry?! This is SO not the Sherlock Holmes I grew up with...
