Fresh on the internet this afternoon is the third trailer for Scorcese's Shutter Island – and although it’s a little shorter, it certainly packs the punch of the previous offerings.
The film follows U.S. Marshals Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo) who are drafted in to Shutter Island - home of Ashecliffe Hospital for the Criminally Insane - to find an escaped patient in the Summer of 1954.
In this latest teaser we're treated to some new shots of Leo as he embarks on his investigation to find the missing inmate, and ends with another inmate delivering a chilling message…
While this trailer contains many scenes featured in previous promos, it does give us some hints as to the goings on in the asylum, again alluding to a dark secret which only the staff know about…
Shutter Island comes out in February 2010 and this latest trailer has certainly whet our appetites.

Agreed. Looking forward to this Scorcese picture -- may bring a touch of class to the often formulaic horror genrre.
