New The Great Gatsby trailer showcases stunning soundtrack

Beyonce, Florence & The Machine, Lana Del Rey and more

From the moment it was announced that Baz Luhrmann had hired Jay-Z to score the soundtrack for The Great Gatsby, we were intrigued.

And now the latest trailer hints at the musical mega-medley to come, with snippets of Lana Del Rey, Beyonce (covering Amy Winehouse), and Florence and the Machine featuring heavily.

Luhrmann's always been one to spend as much time marrying musical opulence with visual spectacle, so it's only fitting that The Great Gatsby looks set to feature an all-star soundtrack to match its A-Lister cast.

Watch the new trailer below, and let us know what you think of the soundtrack sneak peek.

You apparently didn't get the memo(s) First, it was incorrectly reported that Jay-Z was scoring the movie (thank goodness.) Second, when it was (incorrectly) reported that Jay-Z was scoring the movie WE were not intrigued...though you, individually, may have been. The rest of us...for the most part....were aghast. What a massively DUMB idea that would have been. The guy couldn't score a Chicklets commercial if you spotted him the jingle.
