New trailer and poster for After Earth: watch now

"Danger is real… fear is a choice"

M Night Shyamalan's After Earth has released a new poster alongside a brand new trailer in which Will and Jaden Smith find themselves marooned on a hostile planet.

Well, we say a hostile planet… this is Earth! But not as we know it, because in this post-apocalyptic version, "everything has evolved to kill humans". Bummer.

Thankfully, Smith Jr. is playing a resourceful sort of fellow, and it isn't long before he's facing up to his destiny, cutting the apron strings and generally getting his hero on.

Take a look, below…

Plenty of new material to get your teeth into there, and there's a new poster too, using Smith Sr.'s pep talk as its tag line. "Danger is real… fear is a choice." Even as we speak, somebody's getting that printed on a T-shirt…

Directed by Shyamalan and co-starring Zoe Kravitz, Sophie Okonedo and Isabelle Fuhrman, After Earth will open in the UK on 7 June 2013.

What do you think of the new trailer? Tell us, below!

Looks really good. Looks scarier than I thought it would be. Hope Shyamalan is back on form here.

It looks like a decent Friday Night film....just a bit confused about why if we have left earth in the film, everything on earth has evolved to kill us! Seems a bit null and void. But it's probably just because it is a Shyamalan film that I am questioning it so much...I don't want to be built up for a huge let down.

I really wish Will Smith would try and look for more gritty material, he should hook up with Michael Mann again and do something similar to what Tom Cruise did in Collateral.

I am not much of a Shayamalan fan to be fair but this one is looking quite tasty, Will definitely give it go me thinks.

@SteveMcc: Maybe we've left earth because everything evolved to kill us?
