Having been shunted back from its original June 2012 release date by nearly a year, it had all gone a bit quiet on the G.I. Joe: Retaliation front. However, that’s all changed with the arrival of a new trailer.
The film’s delay has been explained as being designed to accommodate some 3D post-conversion, but there were also lengthy reshoots involved amid rumours of script issues.
However, the new trailer has now arrived, and it still looks like a healthy portion of big dumb fun as Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis get trigger-happy with an arsenal of heavy-duty weaponry.
Take a look below…
The new film sees the Joes fighting to clear their names, after Zartan (masquerading as the US President) authorises an airstrike upon their base having denounced them as national traitors. Nothing a few well-aimed bullets can’t fix, right team?
Directed by Jon M Chu and co-starring Ray Park, Channing Tatum, Adrianne Palicki and Jonathan Pryce, G.I. Joe: Retaliation will open in the UK on 27 March 2013.
