House At The End Of The Street has debuted a new trailer online, in which Jennifer Lawrence finds herself up to her neck in things that go bump in the night after befriending the creepy kid on her new block.
Said kid (played by Max Thierot) is the sole survivor of a massacre supposedly perpetrated by his little sister, in which his entire family was murdered. At least that’s the way he tells it, anyway...
However, having taken a romantic shine to him, Lawrence realises there’s still something rotten in the family home when she finds herself trapped there at the mercy of an unseen assailant. She should have listened to her old mum (Elisabeth Shue) and stayed well away...

As opposed to the first trailer, which used a Memento-esque reverse chronology, this one makes things look a lot more straightforward. Our first thought is that Thierot’s character seems mighty suspicious, but hopefully the finished article will have a few more tricks and twists up its sleeve than that.
Having filmed this one before Lawrence shot to mega-stardom in The Hunger Games, Relativity have been sitting on the movie to capitalise on their star’s newfound profile. As a result, House At The End Of The Street will open in the US on 21 September 2012, with a UK release date yet to be confirmed. Canny marketing...

The only reason most people are interested in this movie is seeing Lawrence fill out a tank top. Not something I usually pay for.
