New trailer for Underworld: Awakening

Something has escaped

Not had enough trailer-based goodness for one week? Reckon you can squeeze in one more? Well that’s handy, because a new teaser has been released for Underworld: Evolution, and it’s stuffed to the brim with supernatural antics.

The film sees Kate Beckinsale putting on the lycra suit one more time to play vampire warrior Selene, who breaks out of her long-standing imprisonment to find the Vampires and Lycans temporarily united by a common foe… man.

The new trailer gives us a closer look at India Eisley’s character Eve, a hybrid child whose existence could spell the end for both clans, as well as the fearsome-looking mega-Lycan.

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

Fairly exciting stuff, if you ask us. Sure, it’s all OTT explosions and dizzying quick-cuts, but it does at least look as though the latest instalment won’t skimp on the action. And Selene’s throat-slitting corridor slide is truly badass!

Underworld: Awakening
opens in UK cinemas on 20 January 2012. Get ready to pick a side…

Oh yeah, you're really spoiling us ... hardly in the same league as DKR, Hobbit or the outstanding Prometheus trailer, but I am actually kinda looking forward to seeing this. It was classified "18" by the BBFC earlier in the week, so this one might deliver the goods. The first was good, but the sequel and the prequel didn't quite live up to the original's start in my book. It might be worth a look in 3D too, it was shot in that format, no post conversion nonsense, so a potential guilty pleasure for the dark dull month that usually is January perhaps. It is nice to see Kate back in the tight leather again :)

"A new teaser has been released for Underworld: Evolution" Yeah, about 6 years ago! Still looks the same as the last 3 and all the while Len Journeyman is off ruining Total Recall, but no-one can tell the difference...THATS HOW SH*T HE IS!!

Ugh, what a load of saggy old bollocks. Written and produced by Len Wiseman, I see - and still some people think him b*****dising Total Recall is a good idea?
