Gravity has released a new TV spot, showing a few more snippets of footage from the horrifying crash sequence that sends Sandra Bullock hurtling off into space.
The new spot covers much of the same ground as the others, with a couple of new lines of dialogue and more of a focus on the bond formed between Bullock and George Clooney’s older astronaut.
There is also the introduction of a sweepingly orchestral soundtrack, that slightly dilutes things into generic, trailer territory. We preferred the deafening silence of the earlier promotional material…
Take a look at the new spot, below:
Looks like the new spot is going for “triumph of the human spirit” rather than “blind, all-consuming panic”, although it still looks terrifically tense…
Directed by Alfonso Cuarón, Gravity will open in the UK on 18 October 2013.
