The Dark Knight Rises has released yet another TV spot (that’s number nine now, for those keeping score) featuring a few more brief snippets of new footage cut into one heart-pounding montage.
This one is completely dialogue free, focussing instead on the key players looking tough and ready for business, before launching into a mash-up of some of the film’s most eye-catching action beats.
In amongst the new stuff, we spotted a glimpse of Nestor Carbonell’s Mayor, Catwoman riding the Batpod and more of Bane and Batman knocking seven bells out of each other. And yet again, Bane looks to be getting the best of it.
Take a look at the new spot, below...
Despite the proliferation of adverts and TV spots, Warner don’t appear to be giving too much away by way of spoilers. While we’ve seen the odd one-liner or action sequence, we still know very little about the nature of Bane’s plan, what happens to leave Bruce hobbling or how exactly Marion Cotillard’s character fits into proceedings.
As a result, we’re desperate for 20 July to roll around without fear of any Prometheus-style giveaways in the promo material. As the teaser so enticingly puts it, the wait is (nearly) over...

I think Bane is going to be soooo good; I can’t wait for all the doubters who said "Stupid voice", "What’s with the coat?", “He's not big enough" etc... To be proved massively wrong just as they were when they said "Ledger will never better Nicholson's Joker"

One day I am sure it will be possible to watch a complete movie of TV spots. Why the need for so many? Not as though there isn't enough hype around the film already.

I wasn't a fan of the silliness in Nicholson's performance: A 5 foot long pistol and crackpot dialogue - "You wouldn't hit a man with glasses...?" Nicholson did have his menacing moments, but always felt like a slightly demented, ageing mobster. For me Ledger edges it, quite simply because even when I watch TDK over again, I still get that sense of unpredictability about Ledger's Joker - He is deviant, intelligent, and literally capable of anything. This is exactly why I thik Bane will work so well. Batman needs to have intelligent villains (Hell, ALL superheroes need intelligent villains) to work.

Good point about Marion Cotilard's ommission from a lot of the promotional stuff. Hopefully it means that the rumours of who she is playing are true and there are a few twists yet to be revealed

@Dalidab that's your opinion, most of the actors and performances you rate are terrible and I know you didnt like TDK so I hope you dont enjoy TDKR. Sigh! your comment about Hardy's Bane, I dont think that was in any doubt, everyone envolved in and anyone who liked Batman and Robin are a bit of a joke.
