Second New Year's Eve trailer goes behind the scenes

Cast and crew chip in

A new promo for New Year's Eve has surfaced online, with cast and crew interviews scattered like party popper debris through the trailer footage.

Director Garry Marshall comes in for some flattery, being described as an “institution” and of being “a little sneaky because there's an appearance of ease about him but he's paying attention.”

The film follows the lives of several couples and singles as they intertwine in New York over the course of New Year's Eve.

“I have no good New Year's memories, which is why I wanted to do this movie – so I would have one,” says Seth Meyers.

Sounds like someone needs a hug.

New Year's Eve opens 9 December 2011.

Think the huge ensemble cast can pull this off? And will this make an excellent New Year's game where you drink something every time someone with a connection to singing shows up on screen? (Glee's Lea Michele, High School Musical's Zac Efron, The Sound Of Music's Julie Andrews, Ice Cube, Ludacris, Jon Bon Jovi). Sing it out in the comments section below!

I have no good memories from Garry Marshall's last nine films, that's why I'm not watching this one. It looks terrible. Poor Michelle Pfeiffer needs to move into television work to find herself a worthy role, and it's no longer a shock to see De Niro in this kind of rubbish.

I think your idea of a drinking game will be the only way to get through this. Hit Bargain Booze before the Odeon.
