A new fighting drama

Nick Nolte, Tom Hardy, House’s Jennifer Morrison and Joel Edgerton have signed up to star in Gavin O’Connor’s drama Warrior.

Set in the world of mixed martial arts, it sees a former boxer (Nolte) trying to reconnect with his son (Hardy) after alcoholism destroyed his family.

He helps him train to enter a fighting tournament, but their actions put Hardy up against his bitter older brother (Edgerton).

Lionsgate is slapping down the cash to make the film, and must be hoping that the mixed martial arts movie craze survives the likes of the creatively titled Fighting, which arrives shortly.
