Old meets new in first posters for X-Men: Days Of Future Past

Familiar faces

The first official posters have arrived online for X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and we’re happy to say that they’re brilliant.

Given just how terrible the photoshopping on the promotional one-sheets for X-Men: First Class was, we were a little wary of anything attempting to combine the old and the new, but these new efforts really do hit the spot.

The two new posters combine Xavier and Magneto’s older and younger selves, giving us James McAvoy peering out of Patrick Stewart’s head, and Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen making a rather convincing hybrid.

The new film will see the X-Men forced to avert a terrible future in which mutantkind has been almost entirely eradicated, with the survivors slung into nightmarish concentration camps.

Directed by Bryan Singer and co-starring Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, X-Men: Days Of Future Past will open in the UK on 22 May 2014.

A vast improvement on the First Class posters! You can believe that Fassbender and McKellen are the same person, but McAvoy and Stewart's eyes are so different. This film is going to be epic and I still believe that Xmen 2 is the best superhero film to date...yes even better than The Dark Knight! Just an opinion before you start telling me how stupid I am :)

I agree magneto poster is epic Prof. X just looks silly with his hair showing. But I also agree that the x-men film series is one of the better superhero franchise out there (excluding wolverine origins) and I have faith in this film even if people don't

First Class is a fantastic movie. Rest of the X-Men films are meh. Last Stand and Origins are in the terrible zone. But back on track that Magneto poster is awesome :D Hint Hint TF that'd make a neat addition to the magazine one month.

The Professor X poster looks great but the Magneto one kinda looks freaky. X-Men 2 is still hands down the best movie from that franchise, it's also one of the best comic book movies of all time.
