Tron Legacy star Olivia Wilde has signed up to star opposite Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks in Welcome To People.
The directorial debut of Cowboys & Aliens co-writer Alex Kurtzman, which Wilde will next be seen in, the film was written by Kurtzman and his writing partner Roberto Orci.
In Welcome To People, Pine will play a businessman who goes on a journey of self-discovery when he returns home after his father’s death and discovers a family secret.
Which sounds completely different from most of the stuff that Kurtzman and Orci have penned before, with the pair usually sticking to sci-fi terrain (Star Trek, Transformers).
It’ll be interesting to see how Kurztman handles a drama that doesn’t involves lasers, spaceships and giant robots smashing each other the heck up.
