X-Men: Days Of Future Past has added another name to its ranks, with the announcement that The Intouchables star Omar Sy has agreed to join the production.
“Thrilled to welcome the brilliant #OmarSy from the amazing film #TheIntouchables to the cast of #Xmen #DaysofFuturePast!” tweeted Bryan Singer, announcing the news via the social networking site.
He didn’t go on to confirm just who Sy will be playing, but given the film’s time-travelling storyline, speculation is rife that he’s been brought in to play Bishop, the militant son of a pair of Aborigine mutant refugees.
The character made his debut in the same issue of Uncanny X-Men that Days Of Future Past is taken from, which leads us to believe that the guess might be a good one.
Directed by Singer and co-starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, X-Men: Days Of Future Past will open in the UK on 18 July 2014.

He better beef up and not just his upper body. His face doesn't look right for Bishop.

That's because Omar is smiling (something Bishop rarely did in the comics or cartoon) :) ... He's a really good actor but a bit too young in my opinion as Bishop should look haggard from all the fighting and war he has had to endure ... but I guess they are going young in case they wish to bring him back for further installments.

It may well be Bishop. We all know that Singer doesn't always stay that faithful to the characters, like Rogue, Colossians, etc. Or he could just be some random character like a government official.

I would have loved to have seen Idris Elba cast as Bishop.... Now he looks the part!
