Omen director handling aircraft carrier thriller

John Moore gets Airborne

After bringing us the spawn of Satan (no, not a Brett Ratner biopic), Omen director John Moore is getting back to action thriller territory.

Producer Arnold Kopelson has hired him to re-write and direct Airborne, a thriller that will apparently boost the seal of approval from the US Navy. But though Kopelson bought the original script from writer Eric Tipton, he hasn’t decided to release the plot details, beyond the fact that it takes place on an aircraft carrier.  "We always take time with scripts to get it right," Kopelson blabbed to Variety "We're meticulous about development." Just not, apparently, about telling anyone what the movie is about.

There’s no word on casting or even when the film will kick off shooting yet.
