Orlando Bloom out of An Education

Dominic Cooper is replacing him…

Orlando Bloom can’t be director Lone Scherfig’s favourite person right now. The actor has dropped out of his latest, coming of age drama An Education just as the film started shooting.

The reason given? A scheduling clash, apparently – he needs to start combat training for Hong Kong action pic The Red Circle. Which makes us wonder quite why he agreed to the start date in the first place.

Still, Scherfig isn’t standing still, and has nabbed The History Boys’ Dominic Cooper to replace Bloom in a cast that also includes Peter Sarsgaard, Carey Mulligan, Alfred Molina and Emma Thompson.

The Hollywood Reporter is copying it all down from the board.
