Owen Wilson and Wes Anderson: Together Again

The Rushmore and Life Aquatic team are collaborating on Anderson’s next: The Darjeeling Limited

After a brief break to pursue life as a Wedding Crasher and invade newlyweds’ lives in You, Me & Dupree, Owen Wilson is reporting back to duty with Wes Anderson.

Owen co-wrote most of Anderson’s films – Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums – before letting someone else work on the script with the director and just showing up as an actor for The Life Aquatic.

And it looks like his busy schedule has kept him out of the writers’ room for Anderson’s next one, too. The Darjeeling Limited follows three brothers (one of whom will be played by Owen) who go on a journey through India. The script is by the director, who wrote this time with Rushmore star Jason Schwartzman and Roman Coppola. Anderson intends to start shooting in December.

But Wilson hasn’t been taking it easy – he’s been working on The Wendell Baker Story, which his brothers Andrew and Luke co-wrote and directed, and he’s about to kick off shooting Drillbit Taylor, a comedy about a useless bodyguard hired by a couple of kids to stop a playground bully. Oh, and he’ll crop up in pal Ben Stiller’s new comedy Night At The Museum. Holidays are for losers!
