Patrick Wilson moves to Lakeview Terrace

Racism and rancour between neighbours

Screen Gems’ new thriller Lakeview Terrace already boasts some solid credentials – Neil LaBute is at the helm (hopefully shaking off the hacky tendencies he displayed making The Wicker Man), while Samuel L Jackson and Kerry Washington are already on board.

Now Little Children’s Patrick Wilson is also joined the cast for the story, which finds an interracial couple moving into a new home, but suffering abuse from their new neighbour, a racist copper.

Unusually, LaBute is directing from someone else’s script, in this case David Loughery, who has worked on the likes of Money Train, Passenger 57 and, er, Star Trek V. Let’s hope LaBute’s been doing a little rewriting before he starts filming this week…
