Paul Greengrass taking over Chicago 7?

He may replace Steven Spielberg as director…

Just a few scant days since news emerged that Steven Spielberg’s busy schedule would stop him gracing the director’s chair for The Trial Of The Chicago 7 comes word that DreamWorks might – emphasis on the might, as there’s no official word yet - have a replacement.

The lads over at Film School Rejects dug up a tidbit in Production Weekly about the film, which mentions that Bourne Ultimatum helmer Paul Greengrass has nabbed the job. While he’s been busy shooting Iraq thriller Green Zone with Matt Damon, and may yet tackle another Bourne outing, this could be a good fit for Greengrass. Is it too early to cross our fingers?
