Paul Rudd says I Love You, Man

In John Hamburg’s new comedy…

Paul Rudd has fast become one of the most indispensable comedy weapons a director or producer can deploy. After toiling for a few years in dodgy movies, he was plucked from the ashes of his career by Judd Apatow for Anchorman and The 40-Year-Old Virgin.

Now he’s a hot property, thanks to the likes of Knocked Up and Night At The Museum. So it’s no surprise John Hamburg has jumped at the chance to cast him in the new DreamWorks comedy, I Love You, Man.

Hamburg wrote the script, which finds a man on the verge of marriage who realises he doesn’t have a male friend to stand as his best man. So he goes on the hunt for exactly that.

Also joining up for the cast is another Apatow veteran – Jason Segel, who co-starred in Knocked Up and can usually be found making TV funnier with the sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

They’ll start shooting in March.
