Paul Rudd up for James L Brooks’ latest

Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson are busily negotiating to take roles in James L Brooks’ new, untitled romantic comedy.

Currently working titled How Do You Know?, the movie would see the pair vying for the attention of Reese Witherspoon.

Rudd is considering the role of a businessman, while Wilson will play a professional baseball pitcher out to steal her heart.

And that’s about all we know of the film so far – Brooks is, as always, keeping his cards close to his chest.

He's apparently planning to start shooting in early summer, which might cause a schedule shuffle issue for Rudd, who also wants to work on DreamWorks’ Dinner For Schmucks.

We’re just hoping this will mark Brooks’ return to form after the disappointingly average Spanglish.
