You might think that after tackling a tough military subject with The Kingdom’s bomb squad, Peter Berg would be ready to steer clear of explosive subjects.
But no – he’s agreed to adapt and direct the tale of Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, who led a team into Afghanistan searching for a Taliban leader they were assigned to kill.
Universal has just won the rights to Luttrell’s story, which was published in the US in June as Lone Survivor. Do you want to guess how well it ends?
There’s no cast attached yet, and Berg has only just started the script, so don’t expect this one for a while yet.
