Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean Kevin McKidd and Melina Kanakaredes have signed on to star in Percy Jackson, Chris Columbus’ latest attempt to launch a kiddie pic franchise.

The fantasy adventure is adapted from Rick Riordan’s popular children’s novel The Lightning Thief.

Jackson’s plot will find the titular lad – Poseidon’s half-human son (Logan Lerman), who must traverse present-day America to prevent a war between the gods.

So who are the thesps playing? Here’s your list: Brosnan is Chiron, Thurman is Medusa, McKidd has signed on as Poseidon, Bean is Zeus and Kanakaredes is Athena.

Columbus is still looking for an Aries, a Hades and a Persephone. He’d better hurry up, though, as the film is gearing up to shoot now in Vancouver and aiming for a February release next year.
