Natalie Portman has signed on to star in Love And Other Impossible Pursuits for Happy Endings director Don Roos.
Portman will nab the lead alongside Scott Cohen and Charlie Tahan in the film, which Roos has adapted from Ayelet Waldman’s book, according to Variety.
The plot sees a young woman trying to save her marriage and discovering the solution lies with her precocious stepson.
Roos had set the film up with Jennifer Lopez starring but Jenny from the block decided to abruptly ditch the role.
"We were left in the lurch by one actress and rescued by another," says financier David Molner. "It goes to show that, particularly with independent features, nothing is more important than the talent. “
Me, and also, ow.
