Either because it fears the mighty franchise machine that is Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, or it needs extra time to make the film a little more epic, Disney has chosen to blink and shoved its Prince Of Persia video game adaptation back from June 2009 until May 2010.
Which means that Mike Newell’s movie, featuring Jake Gyllenhaal in the titular role, will now premiere around the time of Shrek Goes Fourth and Marvel’s Thor. So much for getting out of the way of franchises… Still, with the crowded US release marketplace the way it is, few summer slots are free from competition. Check out Comingsoon.net for full details.
