Rabbit Hole gets a trailer

There will be tears

Rabbit Hole trailer

The first official trailer for Rabbit Hole has been released online, and by the looks of things, just in time for awards season.

Adapted from David Lindsay-Abaire’s Pulitzer-winning play, the film stars Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart as parents trying to cope with the unexpected death of their child.

You can see the trailer is below;

Kidman looks on rare form, the role allowing her chance to drop the icy veil sometimes associated with her characters, and Eckhart looks as effortlessly brilliant as ever.

The material certainly gives them plenty to work with, as it explores themes of love, loss, pain and mourning, often with poigniant humour.

This should have the Academy salivating, and hopefully the balance of humour and weighty themes will make it accessible to a wider audience.

Rabbit Hole is released in the UK next year.
