Real Steel cast and crew talk Sugar Ray Leonard's touch

Lessons from a boxing legend

When you're shooting a film about a former boxer teaching a robot fighting machine his tricks of the trade, how do you add the right level of rock 'em and sock 'em to both the star and his bot?

If you're Real Steel director Shawn Levy you turn to a pro to help make those moves authentic.

"Shawn said to me, 'I really want to bring someone in for you that's going to help you out. How do you feel about Sugar Ray Leonard?' And I was like, 'Sure, why don't we just go for the best?'" Jackman says with a grin.

What did Leonard think of Jackman? “He's a good student,” says the former boxing champ.

Excited to see the real boxing talent behind the star and his robot? Or think this is sub-Transformers popcorn fluff that won't punch above its weight? Tell us below!

Sugar Ray hasn't let himself go like some retired boxers. I still wouldn't mess with him!

Honestly, I wasn't interested in watching this movie thinking it's one those silly child game apads, but after hearing that they invited Sugar RayI want to see it now. By the way, I've seen both trailers and haven't notices it yet, but I hope they do a 'wind up' move that Sugar Ray did against Duran.
