Reese Witherspoon joins Pharm Girl

A legal drugs comedy…

Reese Witherspoon has signed up to star in Pharm Girl for Universal.

The studio is busily developing the comedy, which finds a woman getting a job with a massive drugs company and quickly rises through the ranks – but starts to see the dark side of the business.

We’re not sure if that means animal testing, humans turned used as guinea pigs or testing on humans actually turned into guinea pigs. Or maybe none of the above.

But it looks like the pharmaceutical industry will be playing a villain again…
