Resident Evil: Extinction teaser hits

Milla Jovovich's latest zombie fest gets a promo

It might not be the most anticipated threequel of the year, but fans of the Resident Evil franchise will be happy to learn than the first teaser trailer – which cropped up in US cinemas this weekend attached to Ghost Rider – has now mutated into an online strain.

The third, and we’re told (promised?) final instalment of the series takes up the slack from where the second movie left off. Alice (Milla Jovovich) has found refuge in the Nevada desert, but must join forces again with the likes of Carlos Olivera (Oded Fehr) and LJ (Mike Epps) to battle the result of the pandemic slowly turning every human on Earth into a flesh-craving undead monster.

She’s a changed woman – after the corrupt Umbrella Corporation captured her last time around, she’s been genetically tinkered with, gaining a host of new superhuman skills that will be needed to keep her team alive.

The film arrives in the UK on 21 September, but the teaser can be viewed by clicking here.
