Ron Howard on The Strange Adventures Of HP Lovecraft?

He may direct the graphic novel pic…

Universal is looking to dip back into the classic horror world with The Strange Adventures Of HP Lovecraft for Ron Howard to direct.

Originally created by Mac Carter and Jeff Blitz, the book follows some of Lovecraft’s life, including his family’s battle with mental illness, writer’s block and lets his work blend into reality, putting a curse on him.

Carter will write the script, which Universal hopes will get Howard to sign on, though there’s no guarantee yet.

If we had our choice, we’d prefer Guillermo del Toro, but we suppose Howard is always Universal’s top choice.
