Before we write another word, let us make this clear: there’s no movie of Black Orchid in development yet. Or if there is, DC and Warners are keeping it very quiet.
But Rachel McAdams is certainly interested in it – and given that she’s already missed out on roles in Batman Begins, Fantastic Four AND Iron Man, it seems only fair to give her a little superhero love.
She’s really gotten into the book, and would like to see a movie: “I just read this book Black Orchid and it’s a really interesting character,” she told MTV. “She’s a superhero that’s a flower. I don’t know if that would work or the audiences would be interested in that, but she was kind of cool.”
