Moviehole is reporting that Tom Cruise is in talks to play no lesser role than the President of the United States in Philip Noyce’s new thriller The 28th Amendment.
It’s a plot that has been percolating in the brains of Transformers writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman for years, and follows newly elected President Ben Cahill, who discovers that his powers are somewhat more limited than he thought: America is really run by a secret cabal (led by Denzel Washington) that will terminate him with extreme prejudice if he gets in their way…
