Rumour: Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron to join Star Wars: Episode VII?

Gosling to play Luke Skywalker's son?

With this weekend's Star Wars celebration in Germany looming on the horizon, a couple of new casting rumours have emerged regarding Star Wars: Episode VII.

According to Latino Review, two very recognisable names are being considered for parts in the film in the form of Ryan Goling and Zac Efron.

No suggestion is made as to who Efron might be playing, although the site does posit that Gosling could be in line to play Luke Skywalker's son, with the story taking place some 30 years after Return Of The Jedi.

Many fans are hoping that there will be some sort of casting announcement at this weekend's celebration, if only the long awaited confirmation that Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford will be returning,

If there's also an unveiling of some all-new cast members then so much the better! Directed by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to arrive in cinemas in 2015.

Would Gosling and Efron be good additions? Tell us, below!

Ryan Gosling as Jacen Solo and if we have to... that Efron goon could be Ben Skywalker although I'd prefer a real actor.

I reaaaaaally don't want Gosling in the new Star Wars, but if he was to be in it, he'd have to be the cocky child of Han Solo. It would suit him more.

I thought Ryan Gosling was on a break from acting and focusing on his directing? Also e is famous for not taking on franchised movies and sticks to independent, He has now been linked to Man of Steel 2 as Batman and now Star Wars, i wouldn't hold my breathe on either of them as it really isn't his style, but you can understand hy he is being linked to every big movie, as he is one if not THE best actor of his generation.

Don't want either of them. Not because they'd do a bad job. I'd just rather have more unknown actors, to be honest..

Gosling is now too old to play a young child character and to be honest, Gangster Squad proves he doesn't do big budget very well at all. Efron would be a brilliant addition.

I call BS especially on Zac Efron being anywhere near this movie.

Ryan Gosling? MAYBE. I don't think he'd be too bad... Zac Efron?...That's a joke. Unless the producers WANT this movie to tank they'd better get a better cast...
