Russell Brand has been offered a major role in Diablo Cody’s directorial debut, Lamb of God.
The notorious comedian and Arthur star has reportedly been marked for the role of a Las Vegas bartender, while Footloose actress Julianne Hough is favourite for the female lead.
Lamb of God tells the tale of a young religious conservative who after a plane crash decides to re-think her life. Cue an escapade to Vegas to live the life of a sinner. Eventually, though, she finds a way back to her faith.
Cody won an Academy Award for her Juno screenplay in 2008 and penned the back-to-school horror flick Jennifer’s Body, starring Megan Fox. Celebrated for her quick-paced dialogue, a pairing with Brand could prove intriguing.
