The rumour that Russell Crowe will appear in Sherlock Holmes may have been debunked by Guy Ritchie, but it seems he could've been holding back some juicy casting news.
Industry insiders are pegging Crowe as Sherlock Holmes' big bad Moriarty, according to Latino Review.
So, unless studio sources are really keen to make up Russell Crowe related lies at the moment, we'd say he's definitely being circled for the project.
