Ryan Phillippe to star in a Viking epic
He's in Last Battle Dreamer with Sean Bean and Abbie Cornish

Not content with bringing the world a young Adolf Hitler (Max), a bullfighter biopic (Manolete) and a strange boy (Martian Child), director Menno Meyjes is breaking his “M”-named movie streak with Viking epic Last Battle Dreamer.
And he’s nabbed a cast for the historical adventure - with Ryan Phillippe signing on to play a seventh-century Viking warrior called Thorfinn, who invades Britain alongside his experienced older brother Hakon (Sean Bean). Abbie Cornish is also on board, though we don’t yet know whether she’ll play a British maiden Phillippe falls for or his Viking love interest. But we do know that Meyjes told Variety that the film is “"a love story written in fire and blood." Nice.
It’s set to shoot later in the year...
