While the news broke last week, official confirmation has come through: Samuel L Jackson, Maria Bello and Abigail Breslin will all star in Rape: A Love Story.
Despite that seemingly controversial title, the film follows a much more traditional route with a mother (Bello) recovering from a brutal gang rape who is stalked by her attackers.
Fearing for the safety of her daughter (Breslin), she gets help from a sympathetic cop (Jackson).
Joy Carol Oates wrote the story as a novella in 2003 and Domestic Disturbance director Harold Becker is making his return to cinema with the film.
