Scarlett Johansson wants more Avengers action

Black Widow is demanding extra fights...

For those of you with fond memories of Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow crushing necks between her thighs in Iron Man 2, we have good news!

Scarlett is reportedly insisting her Avengers character gets as many scrap scenes as the boys in Joss Whedon’s superhero spectacular.

"Scarlett is making a point of not being the token woman in the movie," says ShowbizSpy. "She has had extra action scenes already but is still wanting more. She's also been very reluctant to have her character be a love interest for the male heroes. Scarlett wants Black Widow to be on a level with the guys if not even more super!"

So, Scarlett wants her powerless Russian assassin to be even more super than a Norse god, a gamma-ray infused rage-beast, a mega-genius with laser-cannons strapped to his arms, and a star-spangled shield-flinging super-soldier.

Fair enough, we say.

I would like more Scarlett Johansson action. That's all I'm saying.

Good grief this woman can't act. She's fit - but being fit isn't a skill and it's certainly not acting. All Men Everywhere: You're just jealous! Think what you like, chaps.

@Sarah6, jealous of what exactly? Jealous of getting to watch an admittedly very attractive woman, with a great body, on screen in tight clothing kicking a*s? Oh woe is us :-P

I have too say I'm not getting the jealous thing at all? If we think she can act we're jealous of what? enough of that I'm pretty sure Widow ends up 'Enhanced', like Ultimate Hawkeye. Still even if she doesn't, Batman does fine with no powers and he doesn't have the might of an international, super technological, peacekeeping force behind him.

You know what p**ses me off? Total Film will do their 'special' superhero issues, with enhanced covers or free gifts. Or, like the latest issue, a major superhero movie overview. And then, when the films hit, give a c**p, low star review. Take Thor: a so-what TF 3 star review (which then gained a star with the DVD review!) for a great film. Okay, Green Lantern deserved what it got, but you guys at TF are so contradictory. You go along with being a mate of the comic-book movie genre, then shove a custard pie in its face. Sick of it.

@itsabitnutty. That's a load of c**p. It just shows that the guys and gals at TF get excited about these kinds of films like the rest of us but are quite happy to let us know if it ain't up to scratch. In other words, doing their job.

@ITSABITNUTTY. TF promoting a film in advance of seeing it does not obligate them to give it a good review. In fact this would undermine the integrity of every review they write, making them worthless to us.

...and your editorial job on TF is what Mr Murphy?

Sarah was obviously saying that most men will accuse her of being jealous of Scarlett because she said she can't act. Not that men are jealous of her. That would be stupid. I have to agree, actually. I don't think she's that good of an actor at all. The thing that's bugging me most, though, is that they've changed the colour of her hair. Why has it gone from that lovely deep red colour to bright orange? She looks a little more slimline in Iron Man 2 as well, not that she's fat by any standards. Good for her if she gets more action scenes, I just hope that she does the rest of the role justice too. She was fairly wooden in Iron Man 2, and it was very annoiyng to watch.

I'm getting far too excited for this film. I sincerely hope that it doesn't suck. Then again, superhero movies are my favorite genre, so it'd have to suck pretty bad for me to hate it. Or be really boring.

Ok, Scarlett, the Avengers is CLEARLY all about The Black Widow. I mean, duh.. so be all demanding and b***hy until you get the spot light and ruin the entire film for everyone. Run off and make another Hulk movie with Edward Norton, and you two can squabble like it's Christmas. Maybe this is fall out from dating Sean Penn, the opinionated egomaniac of an Oscar winner that he is. Or maybe she just wants to outshine her ex as a superhero.. but Avengers is going to be way better than The Green Lantern anyway, so she needs to suck it up and comply with whatever amazing scenes Joss Whedon has her shining in.

@thenuttyguy. The same as yours. Also the comment about gaining an extra star for the DVD review. 2 different reviewers, 2 different opinions. Anyway, as for Scarlett Johansson, I agree she isn't the best actress but she really doesn't have to be for this type of film. Also Joss Whedon seems to work wonders with ensemble casts so high hopes for this

@therealeverton Completely agree with the Batman part, in fact if you think about it, it's Batman that bankrolls the Justice League most of the time. He actually has to pay for the might of an international, super technological, peacekeeping force

After the events of this previous week, I'd definitely love to see more of Scarlet Johansen in the Avengers sequel if you catch my drift. (I'm talking about Nude scenes).
