While out promoting Be Kind Rewind, Jack Black started to drop hints that he’d be willing to consider a School Of Rock sequel if helmer Richard Linklater was behind the camera. Then, just last month, writer and co-star Mike White revealed that he’d been hard at work writing a follow-up script.
Now Variety reports that Paramount is busy developing the new film, attaching Black to star and Linklater to once more direct from the White screenplay, currently titled School Of Rock 2: America Rocks. The plot apparently finds Dewey Finn leading a summer school class on a cross-country trip to delve into some musical roots en route.
