Percy Jackson And The Olympians trailer arrives...

BY James White Sep 18th 2009 9:09AMFILED UNDER: Movie news

The new trailer for the unwieldily titled Percy Jackson And The Olympians: The Lightning Thief has been shoved online and you can watch it below.

While there aren't exactly solid looks at the rest of the cast, this new promo does however offer more footage than the previous teaser.

This time around, we get to see Pierce Brosnan's bushy beard as Chiron, and quick glimpses at Rosario Dawson (Persephone) and Steve Coogan (Hades).

But pay close attention to the statues that the kids see in the museum - you might see a few more familiar faces.

For those that don't know, Percy Jackson and we're really not going to write out that title again follows the titular young man (Logan Lerman), who discovers that he's descended from a Greek god and gets caught up in a battle between the forces of good and evil.

Yes, it still sounds (and occasionally looks) remarkably like Harry Potter with a twist, which might explain why Chris Columbus was asked to launch what Fox will be hoping is even a little as successful as the boy wizard,

Take a gander at the new footage and let us know your thoughts...
