Sherlock Holmes 2 and The Hangover 2 first images

Sequel mania hits web

Sherlock Holmes 2

Sherlock Holmes 2 and The Hangover 2 have had their first official images released online.

The WB sequels are slated for release next year, and have been furiously shooting for the past few weeks (and months).

Firstly, could this shot from Holmes 2 be the big action scene that was shot at the Didcot Railway Centre a few weeks back?

Nobody’s talking yet – but just look how cool Noomi Rapace looks slotted in next to her Holmes co-stars. It’s like she’s always been there.

Meanwhile, the first look at the next Hangover movie shows our four leads at the airport, preparing to jet off to Thailand for Stu’s (Ed Helms) wedding. We imagine the coming home photo won’t look quite so poised.

The Hangover 2 opens on 27 May, 2011. Sherlock Holmes 2 opens on 16 December, 2011.

What do you think of the first glimpses? Which sequel are you most looking forward to? Speak up below...

Glad to see that Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law are back as Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson. Can't wait for last minute Sherlock Holmes 2, hoping it will be as epic as the first film!

Ms. Repace's cheekbones are particulary pleasing.

She could have someone's eye out with them.

Rapace looks much prettier here than she did in the Millennium trilogy, I must say. I also agree with Devin over at Badass Digest that they really need to change the title from Sherlock Holmes 2. It needs a pulpy, Indiana Jones-style 'Sherlock Holmes And The Case Of...' sort of title, I think. The numeral is kind of boring and doesn't capture the sense of fun Ritchie is going for with these movies.
