Silver gets his hands dirty

V For Vendetta producer to remake The Dirty Dozen

Okay, so remakes are lazy, unnecessary and they stifle the creative side of the movie business… But having said all that, the team assembled behind The Dirty Dozen remake are looking pretty flamin’ tasty.

Legendary bean-counter Joel Silver is taking the production reins, while Con Air scribbler Scott Rosenberg teams up with Alias writers/producers Andre Nemec and Josh Appelbaum to knock out a script.

For those of you who haven’t had the delight of the original WWII flick, the story follows a Major played by Lee Marvin, who ropes in twelve slightly unhinged and condemned soldier-prisoners for a suicide mission.

Blood thirsty military types? Somebody call Scott Caan and Jake Busey…

Hint: The film starred Michael J Fox as accidental time traveller Marty McFly.
