Total Film recently caught up with Simon Pegg to talk about his upcoming film, the brilliantly bonkers-sounding A Fantastic Fear Of Everything (more on that in a future issue folks).
While we held court with the Shaun Of The Dead actor, we just had to take advantage of the opportunity to grill him on his secrecy-shrouded upcoming projects: Star Trek 2 and The World’s End.
Naturally, Pegg played it cryptic when we mined him for info. When we asked for the entire plot of Star Trek 2, he responded, “It's all about space.”
And the final frontier? “Yep - it's about the final frontier. And the one before it. I know it's boring, but one thing JJ installed in all of us is the importance of giving the audience everything they can get from the experience itself.
“When we do World's End we're not going to do blogs from the set, which we did with Hot Fuzz and Paul, because we want to maintain some mystique.”
So what stage are they at with World’s End, then? “We're just waiting to make it now. The second the green light goes on we will go - that's our goal.”
A Fantastic Fear Of Everything opens on 8 June 2012. Look out for more from Pegg in a future issue of TF. Subscribe to Total Film magazine!
