Sodey and Che writer reunite

FBI agent biopic gets greenlight

BY Sam Ashurst Nov 5th 2008 10:10AMFILED UNDER: Movie news

Steven Soderberg and his Che screenwriter Peter Buchanan are buddying up again for another biopic, this time about an FBI agent.

Under the alias Jack Falcone, Cuban-American Fed Joaquin “Jack” Garcia went undercover to infiltrate and bring down the violent Gambino crime family

With Garcia dopting numerous identities and ethnicities en route, there’s much scope here for a Donnie Brasco-meet-Catch Me If You Can role for some lucky actor (DiCaprio?) to put himself up for Oscar.

Before Sodey even think about that, he already has call-girl drama The Girlfriend Experience, crime comedy The Informant and a documentary about Spalding Grey to tackle.

You, meanwhile, have four and half hours of Che to sit through. Enjoy.
