Spilt ends for Harry Potter?

Old rumour chestnut resurfaces…

It seems as though every time the next Harry Potter movie saunters towards production, rumours start to swirl about the possibility that - because JK Rowling’s tomes get ever longer and weightier as the series progresses – the film will need to be split in two to accommodate all the plot.

And though it’s always proved to be so much nonsense, it never seems to stop speculators whispering that they’ve been told it’s true. The Mail On Sunday has stirred the pot this time, reporting that Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows will be given the split treatment. But if doorstep-level tome The Goblet Of Fire survived in one movie, surely even Hallows can be compressed?
