Judd Apatow has written a part for Bruce Springsteen in Funny People, his flick about a stand-up comedian who thinks he's dying.
If Springsteen signs, he'll join a cast that includes Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Jason Schwartzman and Jonah Hill.
Chud says the part is similar to Bruce's turn in High Fidelity and will see Springsteen deliver spiritual guidance to the characters.
But if Bruce thinks he's being type-cast and turns down the role, it's said to be vague enough for any wise rocker to step into his snakeskin boots. May we suggest Sir Cliff Richard? He was good in Summer Holiday...
