He's been touting it for a while, but Sylvester Stallone has a greenlight to kick off work on a fifth Rambo outing.
With a script in hand that sees John Rambo battling human traffickers and drug lords to rescue a kidnapped girl near the Mexican border, and now the go-ahead from backers Millennium, Sly can start shooting early next year.
He's already busy finishing up The Expendables, and plans to star and direct again, so so it looks like he'll stay in training for another round of bloody violence...

Unbelievable. How old is he now? He just about managed to pull off Rocky Balboa, as the story was actually about him being a decrepit old man who's far too old for that sort of thing, so it all fit. But in Rambo 4 he was trying to do the same old stuff he was doing when he was in his prime, and he just couldn't pull it off. To try it again 3 years or so later is just madness. I'm looking forward to The Expendables, god knows, but Rambo 5 is just going a bit too far.

Great news!! Was a bit worried when Rambo 4 was announced but loved the film so much for it's over the top 80's style violence and attitude. Can't wait to see how Stallone tops it. I know it was a daft film but highly entertaining for ppl who've missed the 80's style of action eg commando etc like myself. "Who are you? Who are any of you?" haha go rambo
