Steven Spielberg's off Chicago 7

He now won’t direct the trial drama…

Looks like Steven Spielberg’s ever-packed schedule has prevented him from sitting in the big folding director’s chair for another movie. This time it’s The Trial Of The Chicago 7, which got shoved back from its original start date thanks to script issues and now can’t find a place on The Beard’s crammed directing plate.

Movieweb talked to producer Walter Parkes, who confirmed that the film is now hunting for a new director to take over for Spielberg, who is hard at work getting ready to start shooting the first Tintin.
